Samuelson Elementary Field Day

Samuelson Elementary’s annual Field Day will be held September 27. Students will enjoy a variety of outdoor games and activities. Volunteers are needed to run the games, direct kids where they need to go, deliver supplies, and more. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Contact tam.ho@dmschools.org for information.

Des Moines Public Schools

DMPS has a multitude of volunteer opportunities in each attendance center in the Lower Beaver area. Examples include supervising recess or lunch, reading with kids, traffic control, and more. Background checks required. Contact your favorite school for information about how you can help:

LBNA Neighborhood Beautification

The LBNA maintains two flower gardens within the neighborhood. The Neighborhood Beautification team is responsible for maintaining these areas. This fall, volunteers will be needed to remove weeds and clean up the planting areas. Contact lowerbeaver@gmail.com if you are interested in helping!
