Volunteer Opportunities in the community

Are you looking for a way to give back to the community this fall? Here are some volunteer opportunities that we know of!

Des Moines Public Schools

DMPS has a multitude of volunteer opportunities in each attendance center in the Lower Beaver area. Examples include supervising recess or lunch, reading with kids, traffic control, and more. Background checks required. Contact your favorite school for information about how you can help:

LBNA Neighborhood Beautification

The LBNA maintains two flower gardens within the neighborhood. The Neighborhood Beautification team is responsible for maintaining these areas. This fall, volunteers will be needed to remove weeds and clean up the planting areas. Contact lowerbeaver@gmail.com if you are interested in helping!
