LBNA to meet June 6

The Lower Beaver Neighborhood Association will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, June 6. The meeting will be held at Polk County River Place (2309 Euclid Ave) starting at 7:00 pm.
The meeting will feature a presentation and discussion about community land trusts. Community land trusts are a cooperative approach to affordable housing designed to serve the needs of both residents and the community while building wealth, public resources, and solutions to various public needs. The city council has proposed establishing a trust in Des Moines as a way to ensure families can afford to buy and own quality homes today and in the future.
