LBNA, RIVA host candidate forums

In October and November, the LBNA partnered with Refugee and Immigrant Voices in Action (RIVA) to host a series of candidate forums ahead of local elections. Forums were held for candidates running for mayor, school board, and city council. In total, 10 candidates participated, and each event was very well attended. Even more exciting, Ward 1 voter turnout for the November 7 elections was 56% greater than the 2021 election.
