Lower Beaver neighbors to participate in Block Challenge Grant

Earlier this year, the city of Des Moines announced the Community Block Challenge Grant. The grant is designed to bring neighborhoods together and help homeowners complete projects which will improve the curb appeal of the community. Residents were invited form teams of between 5 and 19 households, all within sight of one another. Each household will then receive 50% of their project cost, up to $2,500.

This year, a group of 19 households from the Lower Beaver Neighborhood will participate in the challenge. The homes, located primarily along Brinkwood and Lower Beaver. The LBNA will be following their progress in the weeks to come!
